BRITAIN'S Olympic hero Bradley Wiggins blasted his way to third place in the first stage of the Tour de France yesterday as Lance Armstrong made his long-awaited return to the race.
Wiggins recorded a time of 19mins 51sec around the 9.5mile course in the glamour setting of Monaco, 19 seconds behind winner Fabian Cancellara of Switzerland, who will take the leader's yellow jersey. The Tour's 2007 winner Alberto Contador was second.See the full content of this document
